The Sale of Tobacco (Prescribed Document) Regulations 2010
[#cs1] The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the
powers conferred by section 4(4) of the Tobacco and Primary Medical Services (Scotland)
Act 2010(a) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Sale of Tobacco (Prescribed Document)
Regulations 2010 and come into force on 1st April 2011.
Sale of tobacco products to persons under 18 – prescribed document
[#cs1] 2. The description of document prescribed for the purposes of
section 4(4)(c) (documents establishing a person’s age) of the Tobacco and Primary Medical
Services (Scotland) Act 2010 is a photographic identity card bearing the national Proof
of Age Standards Scheme(c) hologram.
